Full Job Description

  • Provide Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering assistance throughout project life cycle including tendering, procurement, design, manufacturing, installation, testing and commissioning.

  • Preparation and development of risk assessments, method statements, work packages, planning & scheduling and final site commissioning reports;

  • Organisation of labour, subcontractors and materials ensuring that projects are delivered to a high standard and within set budgets;

  • Communications with all parties ensuring they are kept up to date during the progression of each project;

  • Daily progress reporting and attendance of client interface meetings;

  • Tendering and sales support;

  • Able to work on your own initiative;

  • Work effectively and calmly to meet deadlines;

  • Carry out any reasonable ad-hoc duties requested by your direct Line Manager or the Management Team;

  • Promote teamwork and co-operation at all times, both within individual depots and right across the entire Winder Power group;

  • Safeguard all Company assets;

  • Treat all other employees and all our customers professionally and with respect;

  • Always act in the best interests of any of the Winder Power, and not to carry out (or fail to carry out) any action that would bring the company into disrepute;

  • Always work in a responsible manner to ensure safe working practices;

  • All information is to be dealt with in line with General Data Protection Regulations 20

    GCSEs High school or equivalent;

  • Candidate will have Electrical / Electronic City & Guilds Apprenticeship 2381, 2391 - as minimum qualification;

  • Electrical Power Engineering qualification, minimum HNC level (Desirable);

  • Computer literacy with MS Office applications and other relevant proprietary software packages;

  • Broad knowledge of power engineering plant and equipment, i.e. Transformers & Reactorss., Electrical engineering: 3 years (preferred)

  • HV/LV Switchgear: 2 years (preferred)

  • Microsoft Office: 3 years (preferred)


  • Licence/Certification:
  • HNC Qualifacation in Engineering or Electrical (preferred)
