Full Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Purchase Ledger Manager to join the team on a full time, permanent basis. This is a hybrid position, with regular travel to the Regional Support Office in Warwick- you will be required to be in the office for at least 3 days per week.

The successful candidate will manage the undertaking of all aspects of Purchase Ledger and Associated Banking for OneSchool Global UK and OneBus Ltd. You will also manage, support and develop the Purchase Ledger Team., To plan, allocate and support the daily / weekly / monthly workloads amongst the PL Team in accordance with finance deadlines as instructed by the Group Accountant

- Under the guidance and approval of the Group Accountant oversee and supervise the completion of daily work, providing guidance and support to the PL Team and their operational needs e.g. any return to work meetings, annual leave and time off approvals, training requests etc

- Supporting PL Team members with any of their queries or problems, identifying a solution and supporting the resolution of any such matters, identifying any future preventability / risk to repeat / causation analysis and reporting this to the Group Accountant

- Ensure purchase invoices and expenses are captured, coded and checked correctly

- A point of call for Campus Staff and Campus Treasurer and CA queries

- Effective Data Management on Access Dimensions using the Data Tools

- Raise and issue Sales Invoices for rechargeable expenditure via Access Dimensions

- Ensure Customer receipts are posted to SL and allocated to correct Customer Accounts

- Ensure that the PR / PO Expenses systems are being run and administered correctly and on a timely basis and in line with the Financial Authority Policies and adhering to Standard Accounting Procedures, utilising the Data tools available on the Finance System to effectively manage and maintain the Supplier and Customer data

- Ensure that Supplier Invoices and Expenses are correctly paid on a timely basis an in line with the Financial Authority Policies

- Perform such other duties as may be requested from time to time, commensurate with the role

Have experience within a similar role and managing a team (Charity experience is desirable)

- Have experience using Access Dimensions or equivalent

- Be AAT qualified or equivalent experience

- Have strong organisational skills with an eye for detail and good problem-solving skills

- The ability to manage workload and meet strict monthly deadlines

- Be a positive role model of professional practice and conduct of others

- Willingness to undertake relevant training and identify own development needs

- Ability to demonstrate clear management skills

- Be an approachable individual where staff do not have any hesitation
