Full Job Description

  • Co-ordinate sourcing activities to ensure they are completed inline with programme timings and gateways.

  • Support purchasing activities with programme timings, volumes and programme related information

  • Maintain and present purchasing programme related KPI's

  • Support programme launch team activities

  • Liaise between programme management (PMO) and purchasing - provide updates and request information

  • Maintain Sourcing trackers.

  • Responsible for input into the weekly reports and KPI's (Maintain and Update Vendor Contacts and SRM database information).

  • Creating Goods Receipts in our ERP System (For purchasing department requirements only)

  • Verbal Communication with key suppliers when required.

  • Co-ordinate and chair nomination related meetings (procurement council, pre nomination & supplier choice)

  • Co-ordinate purchase order activities for all builds

  • Attend internal meetings as required, contribute to and support Gordon Murray Automotive Limited events, activities, and publications.

  • Undertake other necessary, reasonable duties and appropriate tasks as may be required, and/or work of a higher priority.

  • Identify and highlight any areas for continuous improvement.

  • Assist in day to day running of the Purchasing Department and all activities associated with it.

  • Other duties associated with department as directed.

    Purchasing or project management (in a manufacturing environment preferred)

  • Good understanding of supply chain procedures.

  • Proficiency in cross functional, cross company, and cross-sectional processes.

  • Works well under pressure and has a passion for delivering objectives.

  • Strong planning, good follows up skills, meticulous in detail.

  • Demonstrates a methodical approach.

  • Confident with good interpersonal & communication, (especially verbal & written) skills.

  • Expert skills with Microsoft Excel, PC literate and previous experience with an ERP system would be beneficial.

  • Resourceful attitude with flexible and proactive approach.

  • Communicative, Outgoing. Responsive. Flexible. Ambitious. Persuasive. Self-directing.

  • Proven track record for project management.

  • Must be a team player.
