Full Job Description

The QA/QC Engineer will be based at the Leeds office with a requirement to travel to inter-company/suppliers/customer sites within the UK. The main duties of this role will involve, but will not be limited to the following:

  • Expedite and review sub-contractor/supplier quality procedures; review of MQP's (Manufacturing Quality Plan), Expedite and inspect/inspection surveillance manufactured/supplied items.

  • Compile internal CCM MQP for machining, assembly, fabrication and painting etc. to meet PQR (Project Quality Requirements) requirements and monitor MQP activities.

  • Expedite and review verifying documentation e.g. certificates, reports etc.

  • Compile formal MLQR (Manufacturing Lifetime Quality Records), to pre-determined requirements, for customer review and acceptance.

  • Compile and follow up of NCRs.

  • Arrange 3rd party Inspections as stated in MQPs when/as required.

  • Assist in other areas of the QA/QC department as directed by line manager.

  • Flexibility to conduct any other duties within your capabilities as directed by line management. i.e., support of QC inspections at CCM and Sub Contractors.

    Must have:

  • Understanding and working knowledge of MQP and LTQR requirements based on customer PQRs and manufacturing standards.

  • Knowledge and experience of required certification i.e. Material, NDT, Painting and Welding certification.

  • Working Knowledge of relevant British Standards.

  • Working Knowledge of Engineering Drawings


  • Ideally to have:
  • QC/QA experience in a medium/heavy engineering environment.

  • Excellent IT skills Word ,Excel etc.

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Welding/NDT experience an advantage, Nationally recognised Quality Control Certification or previous experience in QA/QC.

  • Good standard of education

  • Full valid driving licence
