Full Job Description

The successful candidate will lead a Food Safety and Quality Compliance culture within the site to be "Always Audit Ready", acting as a role model for company quality values by continually raising standards and challenging deviations from standards at every opportunity.,

  • Working with the Department Heads and leading the site to ensure production/technical standards are compliant with industry and customer requirements.

  • Developing and fostering a team culture of continuous improvement and unrelenting pursuit of excellence through coaching, mentoring and strong personal leadership.

  • Day-to-day leadership of the Site Quality team, ensuring a safe and compliant environment and the manufacturing of quality products.

  • Leading a Health & Safety culture, ensuring that the team consistently follow the site safety best practices by demonstrating zero tolerance behaviour to people not following site safety rules. Continually challenging and raising safety standards.

  • Ensuring that processes and procedures, including online/in-process quality checks, are followed rigorously to deliver consistent quality product management of the site's internal and third-party manufacturing auditing systems.

  • Maintaining and monitoring the site's strict microbiological requirements for finished product and plant hygiene.

  • Managing consumer and customer complaints. Developing and embedding corrective action plans on site.

  • Active involvement in all initiatives relating to performance improvement on site.

    Educated to degree standard or equivalent in Food Science.

  • Demonstrable experience in working with SOPs and implementing tight document control.

  • Demonstrable experience in managing external audits.

  • Supervision/management experience is desired.

  • Excellent Leadership skills.

  • Organised, flexible and results-orientated.

  • Driven by continuous improvement.

  • Ability to engage and influence at all levels.
