Full Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for the role of a Quality Engineer to join our Quality team reporting to the Quality Manager, As a Quality Engineer you will be collaborating with the relevant Customer Operations Functions on all projects relative to product and process transfer among different facilities within the company, coordinating and implemented quality activities, analysing applicable quality metrics and identifying improvement projects, with the support of the Regional and Global Quality teams. Additionally, the role will be responsible for sharing the lesson learned and the best practices identified in each project withing the Global Organisation.

The role is located at our headquarters within Slough site. Working Monday to Friday during normal office hours (hybrid). This role may require national and international travel.

Duties & Responsibilities (not limited to)

  • Working on multi-geography and function projects focusing on transformation activities

  • Collaborates with the relevant Functions in the quality activities relatives to new process and products implementation.

  • Coordinates the relevant PPAP processes (supplier, internal and customer as appropriate).

  • Identifies the appropriate quality personnel resources and measurement equipment relative to the new process and products.

  • Integrates the new process and products into the facility 3rdparty certifications as applicable.

  • Provides technical assistance in training, mentoring, and coaching professional and technical staff.

  • Assists in contributing to and promoting Global Quality awareness initiatives.

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive quality culture and best practices throughout the organization as applicable.

    Ideally hold a degree in Engineering or related technical field.

  • Previous experience in technical roles preferably in a large multi-location business.

  • Knowledge and understanding of QMS Processes and ISO 9001.

  • Demonstrated experience in quality management tools, such as: Control Plans, Kaizen, 5S, Statistical Analysis, Root Cause analysis tools, Corrective Action Systems, FMEA, IPPAP and Cause and Effect Diagrams preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience in data visualization in Microsoft Excel and/or other data visualization tools such as Power BI.

  • Effective written, verbal and presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to persistently pursue and achieve results. Uses data / analytics to proactively monitor and review plans to hit or exceed targets and drives continuous improvement..

  • Knowledgeable and demonstrated experience in understanding of technically complex problems.
