Full Job Description

You'll be responsible for ensuring that we deliver and maintain the highest quality customer driven software and will define and implement an Automation First approach.
What you'll be doing:
As a Quality Engineer, you'll be able to help define and implement the automation testing strategy across our lab. Working in an agile delivery space, you will support on defining innovative approaches to testing. Your focus will be on contributing to the development of automated Functional Integration tests and end-to-end tests that includes leveraging shift-left methods.
A key deliverable of the role is ensuring we remain compliant with audit by adhering to the Testing Principles as well as introducing an Automation First approach, such that testing will be automated where possible and manual tests are kept to a minimum.
The right candidate for this position will be motivated by this challenge and will help to develop our future ways of working as part of a technical team striving to improve the automation capability within the Lab and improving our overall automation coverage.

What you'll need:

  • Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering background with a knowledge of Test Lifecycle, Test Models, Best Practices, Test Benchmarking and Test Tools

  • An automation first Test approach with a passion for driving efficiency and a focus on reducing risk.

  • Automation understanding including experience with tools such as Jenkins, Cucumber, Urban Code Deploy and Spinnaker or similar.

  • Experience of Java, Scala or Python languages

  • Understanding of the Finance Infrastructure would be good but not crucial.

  • Experience of creating and maintaining automated test cases, executing test suites and reviewing / diagnosing reported bugs

    Our team is looking for an experienced Quality Engineer with proven experience of test automation, to drive automation adoption within the Accounting and Statutory reporting Lab and support our migration to Google Cloud.
