Building a sustainable tomorrow

BAM FM is recruiting a Quality Manager. The position will involve a mixture of working from home, and working out of any UK&I regional office location. Travel will be required to sites across the UK. BAM Operate a flexible working policy. Working hours for this role are Monday-Friday, 8.30am-4.30pm.

Aim to ensure that the products or services that BAM provides are fit for purpose, legally compliant and meet customer expectation.

We are looking for a Quality Manager to ensure that the BAM FM standards are up to the required level.
As a quality manager, sometimes called a quality assurance manager, you'll coordinate the activities required to meet the quality standards set for certain products or services.
You'll ensure that this quality is consistent and meets both external and internal requirements.
Your role will be concerned with monitoring and advising on the performance of the quality management system, producing data, and reporting on performance, measuring against set standards.

Your mission

As the quality manager, you'll need to:

  • Devise and establish the company's quality procedures, standards, and specifications.

  • Working with other parties within BAM

  • Review customer requirements and ensure they are met.

  • Work with our Procurement staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.

  • Set standards for both quality and health and safety.

  • Ensure that manufacturing or production processes meet international and national standards.

  • Keep all accreditations up-to-date.


  • Look at ways to reduce waste and increase efficiency.

  • Define quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff.

  • Produce and maintain controls and documentation procedures.

  • Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and produce statistical reports.

  • Review existing policies and make suggestions for changes and improvements and how to implement them.

  • Measure performance and identify any areas of weakness, recommending and implementing improvements.

  • Liaise with other managers and staff and provide training, tools, and techniques to enable others to achieve quality standards.

  • Assess the effectiveness of all changes made.

  • Ensure the company is working as effectively as possible in order to keep up with competitors.


  • Who are we looking for?

  • Comprehensive experience in an Integrated Facilities Management business.

  • Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite of Office applications

  • Communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Analytical and problem-solving ability.

  • Planning and project management skills.

  • Persistence and the ability to influence others.

  • The ability to lead and motivate a team.

  • A strategic approach to work.

  • The ability to facilitate change.

  • Maintain and manage local records where required and promote best practice.

  • Ensure notifications from SHE and central Engineering are disseminated to all operations teams.

  • Skills in numerical and statistical analysis.

  • Attention to detail.

  • An understanding and appreciation of other people's work disciplines and workloads.

  • Professional qualifications that demonstrate professional development in integrated facilities management across M&E / Health and Safety and quality/continuous improvement methodology Certificate level environmental qualification.
