The project involves the structural repair of the overbridge road between Paddington Station and St Mary's hospital for Network Rail. The project team, based directly in Paddington, are in the process of designing, engineering, building, and managing an exciting project both technically and commercially.

What you'll be doing

- Responsible for monthly CVR and NSV reporting and presenting to Management

- Monthly Application to Client

- Quarterly Cost to Complete

- Subcontract Management

- Assessment of change entitlement

- Pricing Changes, submission to Client's representative and negotiation, Day in, day out, our teams deliver amazing projects in challenging conditions; developing, managing and maintaining the vital infrastructure and public spaces that modern economies, societies and communities rely on.

The role requires an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with several years experience managing costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, as the project contains many changes, a vast experience in change management is fundamental for the job. Exposure to Network rail contracts and working relationship with them in the past would be of advantage. It also requires a level of confidence, the ability to work independently and have a positive can-do-approach to work, work well under pressure, communicate effectively and problem solving.

As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, it is their responsibility to take ownership of all financial and commercial reporting, both internally and towards the Client. A strong IT knowledge is necessary for the fulfilment of the role. The ideal candidate has some line management experience, as the Senior QS will manage a small commercial team of a QS and SQS.
