Full Job Description

Brighton Girls seeks to appoint a Receptionist to provide administrative support to staff, students, and parents.

As the School Receptionist, you will be responsible for greeting visitors, answering telephone and email enquiries, monitoring the absence line, and ensuring the safety and security of the school premises. You will also communicate with parents, update school information and databases, and perform various administrative duties using Word, Outlook email, and the school database.

Additionally, you will monitor attendance, act as a point of immediate contact for absent students, order stationery and ensure a regular stock of essential items and offer refreshments to visitors while they are waiting in the reception area.

To be successful in this role, you will need a good standard of general education and IT skills, demonstrable administrative experience, including working in a team, and a successful track record of delivering a high standard of customer service. You should have knowledge and experience of computers, keyboard / word processing skills, along with the ability to respond to flexible demands and competing deadlines, whilst working on your own initiative.
