This is a predominantly a desk based role.

You will be vital to the efficient patient pathway were so proud of. Our focus at all times is on ensuring that our patients receive high quality treatment quickly, in clean and comfortable surroundings.

Youll do everything you can to ensure the patients treatment is of the highest standard.

The national Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) reported by the Health and Social Care Information Centre recently identified the hospital as top in the country for hip replacements, and in the top five per cent for knee replacements.

Main duties of the job

This role requires you to problem solve and communicate effectively to ensure the best service for your patients, while being based in an office environment.

This role will incorporate desk top triage and ensuring safe pathway of pre-admission to surgery. You will be an experienced NMC registered Nurse, with :

  • Experience in pre-assessment environment is preferred with demonstrable competent clinical judgement

  • Understanding of infection control and health and safety issues relating to theatre along with your knowledge of when to refer patients to an anaesthetist
