What you'll do

Working to protect the privacy of more than 500 million Vodafone customers and employees, Vodafone Group Privacy team, a function under Vodafone Group Legal, oversees Vodafone's global Privacy Programme and ensures its implementation within Vodafone Group. We are seeking an exceptionally talented person with solid understanding of Artificial Intelligence from a Responsible AI and AI governance perspective to join our exciting, award winning, empowering privacy function, working on cutting edge privacy and AI matters. As Responsible AI Manager, you are driving AI compliance topics through company-wide AI governance in close collaboration with other stakeholders and overseeing that the AI systems and products which are either developed or sourced, are ethical, fair, accountable, and trustworthy

  • Create and maintain AI governance processes, procedures, guidelines and policies for the development and use of AI systems and products, including a framework for responsible AI reviews or assessments to identify and address potential concerns;

  • Work with engineering and development teams to ensure that AI systems, processes and products are designed and implemented in a transparent manner;

  • Collaborate with Data Governance function to integrate responsible AI practices into data governance context;

  • Identify opportunities for further collaboration between functions and create seamless workflows;

  • Develop guidance and training to employees on responsible AI and promote responsible AI on relevant communities;


  • Who you are

  • Relevant degree in computer science, social science, ethics, artificial intelligence, legal or related field

  • 2+ years of experience in AI governance, AI ethics, AI development, or related field

  • Strong understanding of responsible AI and ethical considerations related to AI technology

  • Good level of understanding of the EU AI Act proposal and willingness to follow the major legislative updates related to AI regulation in relevant markets

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication and public speaking skills
