Full Job Description

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Responsible Person (RP) to join our Wholesale Quality team.

You will work collaboratively with our operational teams and fellow RPs to ensure that PHOENIX demonstrates all aspects Good Distribution Practice (GDP) compliance, and that the provisions of our Wholesale Dealers Authorisation (WDA) are observed.

You will have principal RP responsibility for a number of operational sites and head office functions.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure that the provisions of the Wholesale Dealers Authorisation(s) are observed.

Carry out the responsibilities of a UK Responsible Person as defined in Good Distribution Practice Guidelines contained in Rules and Guidance for Pharmaceutical Distributors 2022.

Act as Authorised Witness for the destruction of Controlled Drugs

Advocate for and promote a culture of quality in PHOENIX

Provide Advice on GDP and other quality matters to colleagues at all levels

Provide oversight, self-inspection, Non-conformance management, Change control management of Phoenix UK wholesaling functions.

  • Prior relevant knowledge and experience related to the distribution of medical products

  • Proven experience in the relevant practical and managerial experience of medicinal products

  • Working in a highly regulated environment

  • Entitlement to be registered as an RP or previous experience as an RP

  • Understand the UK regulations in relation to the wholesale distribution of medicines

  • Understand the role of MHRA and other competent authorities in licensing the wholesaling activity of medicines.

  • Impacting and influencing, A level or equivalent Literacy and numeracy
