Full Job Description

Are you an Infrastructure Engineer with Citrix knowledge seeking an exciting new opportunity? This is an opportunity to take responsibility for overseeing the Citrix Infrastructure across all desktop services within contractual scope, resolving incidents and implementing changes.

You will report directly to your respective team leads for all daily tasking in addition to observing the respective resource trackers.

If you have knowledge of the following tech - Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, MCS provisioning of VDI's, NetScaler Gateways and ADM, VMware vSphere 7/8 and NVIDIA GPU/vGPU - we would love to hear from you.

What you will be doing:

  • Working with the team to ensure top-notch service delivery every step of the way, working to SLA's and KPI's.

  • Enhancing your technical expertise working with cutting-edge technology.

  • Ensuring that processes and procedures are adhered to in line with company and customer policies.

  • Applying operating systems patches and Citrix software updates.

  • Building Citrix Servers/Apps (Netscaler, Storefront)

  • Working closely with partners to swiftly resolve issues, ensuring seamless operations.

  • Taking a pro-active approach to maintenance and monitoring of systems to ensure things run smoothly all of the time.

  • Operating in a disciplined and structured manner based on ITIL principles, we ensure efficient service management processes.

  • Building and maintaining strong customer and third-party relationships is at the core of what we do.

  • Taking a proactive approach to problem management, addressing issues before they escalate.


  • What you will bring:
  • Working knowledge of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, MCS provisioning of VDI's, NetScaler Gateways and ADM, VMware vSphere 7/8 and NVIDIA GPU/vGPU.

  • Expert knowledge of the latest developments and future strategy for their technology area, and an awareness of its application within past and present Sopra Steria engagements.

  • Advanced Infrastructure skills covering administration, fault finding/diagnosis and fix, file/Print Clusters, Enterprise level thin client environment an advantage, messaging an advantage, virtualization an advantage, hardware build and evaluation experience, supportability (lowering the TCO, including support and maintenance considerations).

  • Project leading experience within prevailing project management methodology e.g. PRINCE or PMI.

  • Extensive experience in Infrastructure Management


  • It would be great if you had:
  • Working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2022, IGEL Thin Client OS/UMS, MECM and Automated Builds, ADDS, SQL and Advanced trouble shooting techniques.

  • Experience within a customer environment and an appreciation of the impact of problems on the customer business.

  • Documentation Skills, with the ability to produce documents for use by an end user, as well as operational procedure documentation for use by service desk personnel.

  • Accreditation to MCSE level or equivalent essential and accreditation in another technology area

  • ITIL foundation


  • An out of hours on-call rota is in place to facilitate all non-business hours. Engineers may be requested to join the rota. The on-call rota is staffed voluntarily.
