Overall Purpose and Objectives:

The primary purpose of the Senior Analyst FP&A & Commercial EMEA is to provide accurate and timely financial information and insights to the business The role will support across the UK&I and EMEA region A key focus of the role will be on FP&A activities including month end close forecast budgets and financial control including balance sheet reconciliations The role will also support from commercial perspective with reporting target setting and analysis business partnering the Sales and Marketing teams

There will be a need to focus on the control & reporting of SG&A costs with a specific focus on timely and detailed ROI analysis; the recording & reporting of trade partner commercial performance; the recording & tracking of commission costs; the analysis of overall business performance in line with the KPI's; and supporting our commercial functions with insightful management information for the UK sales & marketing teams

Reflecting the pivotal position of the Finance and Commercial team within the organization the Senior Analyst FP&A & Commercial will work closely with key teams across the organisation; including Sales Marketing Revenue Guest & Trade Services Accounting & International Finance to ensure that costs are understood controlled and the business is clear of its performance to targets

Specific Tasks and Job Duties:
Support the month end close process for the SG&A budget of c$35m

  • ensuring figures are accurate and all variances understood and explained


  • Support the on-going forecasting of commission and SG&A


  • Responsible for the monthly commission accrual and quarterly balance sheet reconciliation process
  • working alongside Shared Services Finance


  • Support the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) working with cost centre owners to develop budgets
  • feeding these into the planning process


  • Responsible for weekly commercial reporting with a focus on providing timely accurate & insightful information


  • Preparation and analysis of market and partner profitability
  • making recommendations for the optimal allocation of funds


  • Preparation & distribution of trade partner commercial performance to ensure on-going trade partner performance is understood & performance to targets are communicated


  • Tracking & recording of trade partner commissions to ensure all costs are accounted for & correctly recorded in the P&L


  • Preparation of trade partner commission statements to inform partners of performance to contractual targets & ensuring subsequent invoices are received and paid


  • Supporting with the preparation of trade partner annual commercial contracts Ensuring commercial terms are as per system setup & contracts are sent received and correctly documented


  • Responsible for the tracking & monitoring of Co-Op marketing spend which includes proposing the distribution and timing of spend submitting and tracking performance against forecast supporting the sales team in managing their budgets
  • reporting on activities and allocating funds


  • Creation and tracking of sales team performance to sales incentives
  • ensuring the team are provided on-going updates on their performance to targets and paid correctly and on time


  • Supporting with the timely response to ad-hoc sales team or trade partner queries


  • The Finance & Commercial team are responsible for leading a number of on-going projects on which the Senior FP&A Analyst will be expected to play a mix of lead or support roles

    Minimum 3 years' experience in a FP&A / Finance Analyst role

  • Qualifications to Degree or equivalent

  • Full or Part-qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA a distinct advantage MS Excel Word and PowerPoint to intermediate or advanced level

  • Experience of Essbase and Brio / Hyperion strongly preferred


  • Experience of Power BI and JDE accounting system would be useful

  • Must be able and willing to take ownership of tasks and work pro-actively

  • Ability to focus on key priorities

  • Good under pressure

  • Good relationship building skills particularly internally with key stakeholders

  • Ability to present themselves effectively at all levels including senior management & trade partners

  • Good at identifying the problems and finding the solutions
