Full Job Description

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and well organised individual with a passion for behavioural science and research, with a keen interest in implementing behaviour change theory to public health research within the University Health Board and with partners.
The post holder will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of researchers, nurses, public health specialists and health psychologists on the 'Think Quit' study at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board, in partnership with University of South Wales and the Behavioural Science Unit in Public Health Wales. Think Quit aims to work with nurses in CTM UHB to co-produce and pilot test a behaviourally-informed, evidence-based intervention, which empowers nurses to promote smoking cessation amongst patients in hospital settings, in line with the Help Me Quit in Hospital model.
This will be a hybrid role, combining in-person events, office based working and working from home.
This post is fixed term/secondment for 12 months to meet the needs of the service.
If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post., The Senior Health Behaviour Change Specialist will be responsible for supporting the implementation of behaviour change theories, including the COM-B model, Theoretical Domains Framework and Behaviour Change Wheel to the co-production of a novel intervention for nurses.
Key responsibilities will include; application of behavioural science theory to the collection and interpretation of research data, facilitation of co-production workshops with stakeholders, developing pilot tests and evaluations, supporting gathering of data, data analysis and write up/dissemination.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
