Full Job Description

This is a brand new position and a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Senior Product Manager who is looking for a fulfilling new challenge., We're looking for a seasoned product leader - with demonstrable track record of delivery - to define, select and embed adjacent product offerings for Swoop's customers across our destinations to strengthen our value proposition in line with the company's strategic vision.

This role demands a candidate with a wide-ranging skill set and substantial experience, encompassing strategy definition, comprehensive cross-departmental project management, product assessment and design, partner account management, and expertise in product and partnership management best practice in an expanding landscape of complexity.

The role will involve close collaboration with our General Managers of Patagonia and Antarctica, as well as liaison and communication with both internal stakeholders and external partners.

Positioned at the intersection between 'product' and 'commercial', this role will appeal to an ambitious, experienced senior manager attracted to the opportunity of stepping in and driving real and enduring change at Swoop in the name of our value proposition., In year one:

  • Take responsibility for the successful delivery and embedding of a key cross-departmental Company project focusing on revolutionising our pre & post Antarctic voyage product proposition and customer experience

  • Assume full account management responsibility for our DMC partnerships at Swoop, acting as the central point of contact for requirements across Swoop, while optimising the commercial opportunities through working with our partners

  • Review Swoop's current Flights offering and propose a comprehensive three-year plan considering their role within our value proposition and potential risk/rewards to the business, with subsequent responsibility for the implementation of your plan from 2025


  • From 2025:
  • Leaning on your organisational experience, help establish and embed the systems, structures, processes and reporting required for Swoop to efficiently manage an increasingly complex product and partner mix for the next 5-10 years

  • Once established, ongoing responsibility for maintaining and improving our growing suite of add-on & extensions packages in Chile & Argentina

  • Beyond 2025, evaluate other commercial opportunities for expanding Swoop's value proposition by including ancillary services at attractive margin levels, Twenty-five days paid holiday, in addition to your birthday and public holidays

  • Whilst this role primarily operates remotely, we believe in the value of face-to-face interactions for team collaboration, training and meetings. Therefore, visits to our vibrant offices in Bristol will be required for training sessions, team building activities and important meetings.

  • This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week.

    You will:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of Product management experience in travel companies with 100+ employees

  • Be recognised as a structured thinker, seamlessly blending strategic foresight with meticulous execution to ensure that initiatives are flawlessly implemented

  • Excel in communication and relationship-building, effortlessly fostering strong connections with both internal and external stakeholders alike.

  • You're a self-motivated individual who is adept at working independently when necessary

  • Demonstrate strong commercial acumen, characterised by an innate ability to identify and capitalise on revenue-generating product opportunities

  • Be renowned as a 'Completer-Finisher' - strong at the initial conception, project management and embedding/delivery stages

  • Have a demonstrable track record of successfully managing and delivering complex projects over many months.

  • Possess a nuanced understanding of Destination Management Companies (DMCs) and Flights management, cultivated over years of hands-on experience

  • Love being highly organised, structured, under control and being the driving force and 'conductor' of an increasingly important part of the business

  • Embody an unwavering passion for travel, with ideally first hand professional South America &/or Polar destination experience
