Full Job Description

As a Senior Production Engineer you will support the production and R&D teams with the development and introduction of new products into manufacturing.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain current assembly standard operating procedures (SOP's).

  • Create and maintain assembly routings.

  • Design and develop assembly jigs and fixtures.

  • Design, develop and implement assembly cells including line balancing activities.

  • Calculate assembly cycle time.

  • Conduct continuous improvement activities through Kaizan and Lean manufacturing techniques.

  • Support Product design team by partaking in design/product reviews.

  • Support production though NPI

    Mechanical engineering degree or similar

  • Experience in the assembly of electronics

  • Experience working with Cable and harnessing.

  • Experience of 3D Parametric CAD (Desirable)

  • Proficiency with Microsoft office, primarily excel and word.

  • Knowledge of Health and Safety at Work

  • Familiar with MRP/ERP systems

    Contract - Full time, permanent

  • 37.5 hours per week

  • Salary of £40k - £45k DOE
