Full Job Description

In the Defra group, we deal with a vast range of issues that profoundly impact on people's lives. As a Senior Project Manager your main responsibilities will be
+ Managing a large project which is part of a portfolio of work
+ Stakeholder Engagement at all levels including 3^rd party suppliers and contractors
+ Visiting site locations when required
+ Risk management across the project
+ Managing finance and budget of the programme
+ Attend Project Boards and Strategic Directors Boards and act as the PE's support or deputy as required
+ Ensure realistic project and quality plans are prepared, maintained and tracked against the plan, providing regular and accurate reports to stakeholders.
+ Monitor and forecast costs, timescales and resources used and act where these deviate from agreed tolerances.
+ Manage the change control procedure, ensuring that change is captured, impact assessed and approved.

A candidate who has managed very large projects / key stakeholders / directors/ Project management experience within waterways / Flood risk / EA would be highly desirable, + Strong track record in the delivery of large Infrastructure projects of work
+ Stakeholder engagement at all levels
+ Risk management across a large project of work
+ NEC4 contract knowledge and skillset
+ Experience of building relationships with 3^rd party partners
+ Strong self starter
Desirable Skills
+ Experience in Water, flood risk projects would be highly beneficial
