Full Job Description

We deploy to our platform hundreds of times per week, and our application security engineers enable NewDay engineering by:
Building a secure culture, working with teams to embed secure practices & secure by design principles Collaborate with our projects and product teams as a point of contact to provide security requirements and ensure that risks are managed Develop security controls and architecture principles, balancing industry standard methodologies with risk appetite Working with product owners and managers so that we can explain and understand our security challenges Contribute to development of security strategies and roadmaps

Specialist in security architecture, from an end-to-end perspective, across different business domains Understanding of distributed systems design, building for resilience and cloud architectures Solid understanding of Secure SDLC, CI/CD, DevSecOps methodologies Experience in balancing commercial, regulatory, and operational requirements Experience working with autonomous agile teams A high-level understanding of security principles, control frameworks, threat modelling, and cloud security risks., Worked in FinTech organisations, and in consumer lending or card issuing Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks and standards, e.g. PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, GDPR Relevant certifications, You are a proven security architect who can lead and advise across different areas of the business Builds partnerships through teamwork and pulling together Demonstrates good judgement on security risks Able to influence peers to do the right thing - provides convincing and persuasive rationale focusing on risk and "the why" Diplomatic, emotionally thoughtful, listens and is open to other points of view Able to communicate sophisticated technical topics in straightforward terms to a diverse group of team members Challenges conventional thinking and demonstrates a "continuous improvement" demeanour which is building for tomorrow
