If so, please join our team as a Senior Solution Architect where you will have ownership of the solution landscape, technology strategy and end-to-end architecture design for our Digital Workplace portfolio within Enterprise IT., The Senior Solution Architect works within the Enterprise Architecture team as part of an overall team of Enterprise and Senior Solution Architects covering the broad scope of EDF UK's business units. You will be responsible for the architectural products required to deliver portfolios in line with business and IT strategy, and for supporting the refinement and development of the Technology Strategy for a given set of business or technical capabilities. This includes ensuring alignment to, and contributing to the development of, related frameworks and standards which support the vision and IT Strategy across the company and the wider EDF Group., Alan from our Enterprise Architecture team says "I've relished the continuous steep and broad learning curve in my role as Senior Solutions Architect. What you'll be doing

  • Taking ownership of and developing architectural strategies and roadmaps within your specific domain, using your domain knowledge and thought leadership to gain buy-in from key stakeholders across the organisation. Keeping up with new technologies, market trends, and business needs

  • Acting as architecture design authority within your domain, reviewing and approving architecture designs as well as collaborating with and guiding architecture resources within your domain and across business federated IT teams

  • Being a key player in change delivery projects, working closely with project teams and business stakeholders to guide technical changes that align with business need to maximise the value of IT and technology investments

  • Providing leadership, oversight, capability assessment and co-ordination of architectural resources. In conjunction with Enterprise Programme Management, ensure compliance with the overall architecture, standards and IT strategy developed for the division through proactive supervision of portfolios and solution architects

  • Resolving conflicting technology requirements and priorities between stakeholder groups and building consensus on the way forward

  • Being an informed buyer of technology, evaluating and recommending new solutions from the market.

  • Leading Proof of Concepts, technology trials, and proof of value activities, gaining approval for innovative ideas.

    A Senior Architect with leadership, team leading experience and the ability to establish technical credibility within the professional community.

  • Significant real-world experience of architecting end to end solutions and strategies in the Digital Workplace (M365 and User Devices) space including Entra ID, Office 365, SharePoint Online, Intune, Teams, Purview, SCCM, Defender, Azure Virtual Desktop, etc.

  • Proven ability to collaborate, communicate, influence, and negotiate at all levels

  • Strong communication and good negotiation skills.

  • You have a pragmatic approach with a business lens.

  • Do you have a future facing mindset when it comes to technology and solutions that can improve our business and drive to support the UK to achieve net zero?

  • Are you proactive and able to engage with stakeholders at all levels to describe technology concepts and capabilities in business value terms?

  • Are you a strong team player that likes to make change initiatives happen as well as driving future solution thinking?

  • Are you curious, creative and have a mindset which means you enjoy continually learning and sharing your experience?

  • Do you have experience of architecting in a cloud native context?

    Alongside a starting salary of £80,000 depending on experience, potential to earn 10% bonus, private healthcare, 28 days of annual leave plus bank holidays and a market-leading pension scheme, we offer a range of flexible benefits to support our people across all aspects of their lives.
