Flexible on location (Belfast, Crawley, Cheadle, Glasgow or Templecombe) - The successful candidate will be expected to work 3 days per week on site including 1 day co-located with the Services teams based in Crawley and regular travel to the other UK sites as appropriate, given the need to represent all Thales UK sites and businesses for Customer Services

Our opportunity

The Services Process Convergence Lead (UK) will lead on Process Convergence for Services in Thales UK - a critical activity to ensure we undertake efficient operations.

The role is to work closely with the Thales UK E2E Process Transformation Leads to deliver continuous improvement and further convergence of processes for Services and related functions within established applications (Thales UK ERP and PLM suite of applications known as 'UniFi) and associated digital products (existing and new), leading for Customer Services in all forums and focus groups.

A crucial element of this role is to work closely with all Services departments assisting them in their process definition, their transformation and interdepartmental communication from a Business Change perspective, involving coaching local teams to adopt successful processes and practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver on established plans and show with evidence that they are successful.


  • Support forward planning activities for project activities and to support the generation of relevant development plans.


  • Provide feedback on the efficiency and effectiveness of the function.


  • To deliver analysis, review and plan tactical steps to improve our current operations in Customer Services, specifically focusing on securing and maintaining converged processes.


  • Propose interventions that will result in a better result for Thales, always to question "why" and relentlessly seek efficiency across the UK Services portfolio.


  • Develop specialist knowledge of the processes and techniques employed by the Function, supporting convergence across the UK.


  • Support the review of the processes and techniques to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.


  • To be a paragon of Services Culture - speaking positively about the future and helping our people in Services in Thales UK to develop and grow their skills to be truly outstanding services partners for our customers


  • Ensure a flow of information of the main issues and to find meaningful ways to communicate your project and plan.

  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and an ability to work co-operatively with others, creating and harnessing a team spirit within and across other company sites.

  • A good knowledge of Oracle R12.2 Services and Supply Chain modules


  • HND, Degree (or equivalent) in a in a Software/IT/IS, or engineering subject (or equivalent, including relevant working experience)


  • In line with Thales' Baseline Security requirements, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK and employment and/or education history for up to three years.
