Full Job Description
Punchdrunk is seeking experienced Show Supervisors for the operation of our bars and front
of house areas in our multi-purpose home in Woolwich. The successful candidates will work
with the Show Duty Managers to support the management of a site specific bar and front of
house operation. They should possess good communication and interpersonal skills, be
observant and able to think critically and efficiently, with the ability to maintain a calm and
positive attitude in a busy environment.,
- Assist the Show Duty Manager in managing all aspects of the Front of House operation
- Oversee the daily operation of the front of house team including the front of house
- Assist the Show Duty Manager in managing all aspects of bar stock control including
- Be confident with customer complaint handling in line with Punchdrunk Policies and
- Be welcoming and attentive to the needs of our visitors, ensuring an exceptional and
- Have a clear understanding of the operational requirements of the venue and the
- Ensure that open/close procedures are followed.
- Work closely with other departments within the show operation teams, including
- Attend to visitor enquiries escalating where appropriate
- Setting and enforcing quality and safety control.
- Ensure all areas are kept to an impeccable standard of cleanliness and presentation
- Maintain a good, up to date knowledge of fire, safety and evacuation procedures and
- Report and/or record all incidents and accidents on site with the appropriate
- Document and provide support with maintaining schedules, spreadsheets and other
- Ensure that all staff are wearing the appropriate uniform and are well presented at all
- Assist in the hiring and induction of all staff including upkeep of a rota system to
- Attend training as required.
- Supporting the Front of House team as required, including performing duties of their
- Champion a fun and safe environment at all times.
- Supporting the show operations team in the maintenance and cleaning of the show
- Maintaining excellent working relationships with staff across the organisation
- Adhering to Punchdrunk's Company policies at all times
- Attend regular staff meetings, team events and company meetings as required
- To undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the management
The Show Supervisor is key in supporting the Show Duty Managers and maintaining the - Personal Licence holder
- At least two years experience of working in a similar role
- Ability to work in harmony with a busy theatrical production
- A problem-solver with a can-do, positive attitude with the ability to communicate in a
- Experience training and managing staff
- Ability to carry out and delegate a variety of tasks, including heavy lifting for the
- Remain calm and level headed under pressure
- Ability to undertake administrative work to a high standard
- Strong organisational and time management skills with ability to prioritise
- Willingness to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
- An interest in Punchdrunk's work
- Experience of working in a commercial theatrical environment
- First Aid Qualification
