Full Job Description

We pride ourselves in being a small, close-knit team. We have 2 Vets, 4 Nurses, 1 VCA, 2 receptionists and a Practice Director who are supportive of each other's interests and have some great mentors amongst us. Both Vets have 25+ years of experience between them. Both also have a keen interest in teaching. One of our Nurses takes on schedule 3 ops as mentored by our Vets. We are a busy, first opinion practice with a varied caseload. Our diary can accommodate for an extra graduate Vet, who will be given longer appointment times and can operate alongside our Vets until they feel ready to take on cases independently. We are very excited to offer our guidance and welcome someone to our team! We have recently started to work alongside the blue cross to support clients struggling to pay for much needed treatment and have a care fund in place for the Vets to use on a case of their choosing each year.

We have inhouse lab, digital x-ray, ECG & ultrasound facilities. We are local to referral centres for MRI, CT, endoscopy, orthopaedic, cardiology or ophthalmic specialists. We are prepared to fully support any interest in our team working toward certificates.

Step into a supportive start

Your normal hours of work are 40 hours per week, 4 days a week. Monday to Friday between 08:30 and 18:00. You may also be required to participate in a weekend rota.

We will open up our diary and accommodate a graduate with long appointment times, and continuous support from our current Vets. Our ops board is easily manageable to allow for us to have a graduate work along-side one of our Vets, therefore no pressure to handle cases or ops independently until our candidate feels ready and able. Our Nurses come with a wealth of experience and are ready to assist and guide where needed. We are very proud of our Nurse-utilisation status. We are also very close to Vetsnow Manchester for referrals and out of hours support.
