Stores Assistant

We are looking for a hardworking and dedicated individual to become part of our Logistics team as a Stores Assistant. This role is based at our Shenstone office., The successful candidate will support the Equipment & Maintenance Manager in the inventory management and general repairs and maintenance of survey equipment to ensure they are available for traffic surveys and the site team. You will also assist in the stock control function and support in fleet management including vehicle checks and vehicle allocation., As the Stores Assistant you will be responsible for the following,

• Inventory Management: Organise, plan and co-ordinate all inventory management activities. Ensure all new purchases are processed and managed appropriately according to Company procedure. Ensure equipment is ready and available for projects as and when required. Ensure that any equipment and/or materials that are late or are holding up a project are chased and followed up until received. Ensure subcontract processes are received back and that suppliers are chased if late. Take receipt of deliveries and store items in the stores area accordingly. Ensure that the stores area is kept clean, tidy and items are stored methodically.


• General Repairs and Maintenance: Ensure that every effort is made to repair general faults to equipment and maintain equipment in a timely manner to avoid a delay in re-circulating for survey tasks.


• Fleet Management: Assist with the process of vehicle servicing, repair, and maintenance, maintaining all records concerned with this process.


• Manage:


• The day to day running of the stores ensuring the stores are clean and organised.


• Preparation and allocation of equipment for the site team
  
  A desire to learn new skills, have a keen eye for detail and be well organised. In addition to this we would also like to see:


• Be a good planner with the ability to be pro-active when approaching work.


• Be able to drive a 3.5 tonne vehicle and be confident in navigating to various site locations when required


• Desirable to have previous electrical repair experience


• Be flexible and willing to undertake a variety of tasks and responsibilities.


• Able to work in a safe manner and promote the company mission and values.


• Have excellent time management skills


• Be able to deal with large volumes of work in peak period and problem solve under pressure., Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred)


• Electrical repair: 1 year (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (preferred)
