Full Job Description

  • Responsible for preparing and updating accommodation rooming lists, ensuring that all students are allocated correctly

  • Conduct thorough room checks; log, report and follow up on any accommodation/maintenance issues

  • Check and submit catering numbers in a timely fashion, minimising wastage

  • Co-ordinate student arrivals and departures in collaboration with the Centre Manager

  • Ensure that student welfare is a priority for everyone and the Safeguarding Policy is adhered to; report suspicions, allegations, or incidents to the designated member of staff

  • Liaise with the Bayswater team on bookings and requirements to ensure appropriate arrangements are made for all students, taking into account any specific requirements the students may have

  • Line-manage a team of Welfare Officers to ensure that pastoral duties are carried out. Duties include curfew, wake up and monitoring of mealtimes

  • Support students throughout their courses, ensuring their enjoyment and maximising their involvement; first point of contact for anything they need, including pastoral support

  • Provide the best possible language learning experience, through excellent customer service

  • Update student records and ensure that key staff members are made aware of any medical or SEN needs

  • Hold daily/weekly meetings to ensure the students are happy and safe and record all feedback and action points

  • Be the main point of contact for students travelling without a Group Leader, providing pastoral care and ensuring these students are aware of the programme schedule

  • Assist the Centre Manager with the day-to-day running of the centre

  • Participate in management team meetings

  • Complete administrative duties accurately and in a timely manner

  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with facility providers (accommodation, catering, classrooms, etc), ensuring that services are delivered in line with our agreement and dealing with problems effectively

  • Support Bayswater in retaining its accreditations, for example British Council


  • The nature of the role will require the candidate to work unsociable hours (weekends/evenings/bank holidays); they will work 6 days per week and 48 hours per week.

  • Fluent in English

  • Competent in use of Excel and Microsoft Office products

  • Able to complete all types of administrative duties

  • Previous experience working with children and/or teenagers

  • Previous experience at summer camps/summer schools

  • Current First Aid certificate

    London - University of Greenwich (Greenwich Campus) - 26th June to 11th August

    London - University of Westminster (Harrow Campus) - 26th June to 11th August

    Oxford - Oxford Brookes University - 26th June to 11th August

    This is a residential position, so full board and accommodation is provided free of charge.

    £635 a week - Fixed term contract,
  • Salary of £635 per week
