Full Job Description

The Support Advisor is a critical role in Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, contributing towards the charity's mission to help with hearing loss and leave loneliness behind.

  • Guide people through the process of applying for hearing dog or LinkUp Group training course

  • Book Hearing Hub appointments

  • Book appointments for peer support and other services.

  • Work with hearing dog applicants

  • Guide applicants in preparing their home and workplace for having a hearing dog

  • Provide support for off-site visits to assist with our clients applications

  • Lead one-to-one and group workshops for applicants to learn, practice and prepare for having a hearing dog

  • Capture and share stories about our work and the difference our services make.

    Experience of working with training and coaching others.

  • Excellent communication skills

    At Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, we train highly skilled hearing dogs that help deaf people, and offer a wide range of personalised hearing support services, which together provide emotional and practical help for deaf people.
