Full Job Description

Discovery is looking for caring Waking Night Support Workers in Castle Cary to support 5 people throughout the night, ensuring the appropriate support is given in line the risk assessment and support plan whist also carrying out a number of key allocated tasks. Includes weekly checking of equiptment, welfare check ins, spending time with people to watch films, making hot chocolates and then getting ready for bed!

The role may involve tasks such as:

  • Carrying out "keeping safe checks" at regular intervals to ensure the people we support are safe and comfortable.

  • Ensure that the environment is clean and sanitary.

  • You will keep written records, using IT systems as required to help you including support plans, incident log and health and safety records.

  • Creating a calm therapeutic environment for the people we support.

  • Supporting people to make the most of their late evenings / nights when they wish to

  • Provide personal care when required.

  • Fridge checks

    Shift pattern: 4 nights over 2 weeks this could either be one position consisting of 3 nights 1 week and 1 night the next week OR 2 positions consisting of 1 night each week and 2 nights every other week, We are passionate about investing in your training and career development.
