Full Job Description

Do you have the right mix of experience, skills and compassion and want to make a difference in an active. vulnerable young man's life? Do you have the skills to help a young person find hope, physical well-being, and emotional balance, building trust with support for day to day practical needs? Can you support planning for a new future where his sense of agency is encouraged -working alongside in a relational and professional way? Supporting and assisting him with making healthy friendships?, Your working pattern will involve you working closely with my son 2-3 days a week for 5-6 hours, to be agreed. He lives in supported living where there are 2 other residents and a rota of staff. He has no access to any treatment or support programme at present. So your role will require liaising with the team as appropriate.

We are looking for someone who

· has insight/experience of working with complex needs including addiction, psychosis and being neuro-atypical?

· someone who is patient, compassionate and kind?

· Is psychologically informed and emotionally literate?

· Is grounded and good at holding the right boundaries?

· Can work through the senses with music?

· is informed by a holistic approach to healing?

Your role will involve you being active through sports, working in nature and with animals - perhaps you have your own dog in which case do bring them with you., A current DBS check would be ideal but not essential. Similarly having a driver's licence and own transport would make a difference . Expenses for travel during work and for activities will be paid. Your start date is ideally as soon as possible.

A contract will be offered for 3 months in the first instance on a self-employed basis. A permanent offer will be made if there is a good match to needs for both my son and you. Pay will be agreed on the basis of experience and skills, with a starting point of £13/hr that recognises the skills of this work.
