Teacher of Science (Biology)

(Ks3 and Ks4)

Required for September 2024

(Permanent, Full-Time)

Main or Upper Pay Range

Required to start in September 2024, the school is looking to appoint a highly motivated, dynamic and innovative teacher of Science (with main specialism of Biology) prepared to teach all three disciplines to GCSE level. Most importantly however we seek to appoint a great teacher who is able to motivate and enthuse students, someone who can convey a passion for the study of Science. The existing Science team is friendly and supportive with a wealth of experience in teaching and examining. We are keen to provide professional development opportunities and we are receptive to new ideas. We have dedicated, well-appointed laboratories, the department is very well resourced, and the teachers are supported by an enthusiastic technician.

The Leadership Team are passionate about Continued Professional Development and performance management is built around self-assessment and professional portfolios.

The person appointed would thus be working within a successful supportive culture with plenty of opportunity to support the wider school community. This teacher must be a highly professional and committed team member.
