Teaching Assistant

Severn Vale School is seeking to recruit two qualified teaching assistants to work within our Inclusion Department. This rewarding role is an ideal opportunity for either a graduate seeking to gain experience prior to embarking on teacher training or an experienced, qualified TA.

The role will be permanent, 39 weeks per year (term time only plus inset) and hours can be negotiated.

We are looking for an individual who is looking to make a positive difference to the lives of young people and has the ability to gain trust from students. You will be working with young people with SEMH and behaviour challenges, to help them learn, develop their abilities and raise their self-esteem.

You will:

• Have a passion to help students achieve their full potential



• Be adaptable and have the ability to build relationships with young learners



• Preferably have experience of working with challenging young people and raising achievement



• Be resilient, pro-active and able to work as part of a team



• Be qualified to level 3 in Teaching and Learning or equivalent



• To be literate and numerate preferably with GCSE qualifications at Grade C+



• The skills to support learning in a classroom environment
