Full Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader - Finance Shared Services to join our Team.
Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Hybrid working is also available
Please note that this is Fixed Term Contract of 9 months

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure all Accounts Payable transactions are processed and accounted for within agreed times and parameters.

  • Sole responsibility to pursue all external queries on invoices.

  • Ensure that all receipts are correctly booked and there are no unpaid or beyond terms entries in the receivables ledger.

  • Maintain required checks and reconciliations on primary accounting systems and other controls such as spreadsheets as required.

  • Ensure the team are processing invoices in line with terms

  • Team Meetings & regular colleague reviews

  • Enforcement of financial controls

  • Co-ordination and organisation of work with the team

  • Ensuring GRNI is closely monitored to assist in payment on time

  • Effective business partnering with the wider business to improve the turnaround time on queries

  • Escalated point of contact for the team

  • Achieve 'Super User' accreditation ensuring training documentation is created and used

  • Maintenance of AP/AR ledger to ensure all payments and credits are applied correctly to invoices.

  • Support in the onboarding process and supplier amendments, linking with the external suppliers and Internal Master Data team to resolve any queries and ensure the smooth onboarding process

  • Ensuring the area of employee expenses including Barclaycard credit cards are up to date and monitored

  • Reconciliation of Asda payments on a weekly basis.

  • Perform regular reconciliations to Supplier and Customer statements to ensure all transactions are reliably processed and payments made and receipts received on a timely basis.

  • Cover for Currency purchases and daily bank reconciliation.

  • Other administrative duties such as filing, post etc.

  • Accountable for ensuring Suppliers are paid accurately and on time & Customers Pay on Time.

  • As a super user you will be responsible for training both new and existing team members

  • Contribute to making Forza a great place to work by promoting a positive working environment

  • Understand the impact of Accounts Payable/ Accounts Receivable accuracy on the financials

  • Ensure the smooth running of the team ensuring management of holidays and resource planning

    Experience in Accounts Payable & Receivable essential

  • Strong Excel skills

  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach.

  • Ability to build strong relationships of trust with external suppliers, customers and internal colleagues

  • Basic understanding of the recording of financial transactions/double entry bookkeeping

  • Knowledge or Dynamics D365, Navision or similar Microsoft Windows packages would be desirable

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience of AP/AR in a fast-moving business.

  • AAT Qualifications is desirable but not essential
