Full Job Description

Are you a strong communicator who loves teaching? Do you have very good interpersonal skills and enjoy working across teams to ensure that our apprentices enjoy the best learning experience?

As a Tutor at the AMRC Training Centre, you will play a key role in ensuring that the AMRC Training Centre's apprentices receive high-quality teaching by devising, designing, preparing, delivering and assessing knowledge elements of our Advanced and Higher apprenticeship programmes using active learning techniques. You will be responsible for delivering your own units and meeting the requirements of Ofsted's Education Inspection Framework.

You will have sufficient knowledge and experience to deliver a range of common units to advanced apprentices such as Engineering Design, Managing an Engineering Project, Health and Safety and Communications, whilst having a key focus on Maths & Mechanical Principle units.

Experience of teaching the EAL Diploma is desirable.

You will have very good communication skills, be able to organise your workload and time effectively, be able to work independently with minimal supervision and work collaboratively with team members.
Ideally, you will hold a teaching qualification or the ability to work towards, and a relevant qualification in engineering or manufacturing, or equivalent experience. Industrial experience in manufacturing and engineering would be advantageous.
