Warehouse Operative / Delivery Driver

A fantastic job opportunity for a Warehouse Operative and Delivery Driver to join a small, dynamic, busy team within an import company based in Cheddar., We are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative/Unloader which involves manual lifting. The ideal candidate will be well organised and deliver excellent time management at all times. You will be a team player and good communicator. Being confident and having a high attention to detail, you will need to be able to prioritise your roles according to the needs of the day, in a fast paced working environment.

The role will also include driving a Luton body transit van. The radius of the deliveries will be Somerset, Dorset, Devon & South Wales.

Your colleagues will be on hand to offer initial training and assistance. The company offers great prospects for the right candidate in a friendly and vibrant atmosphere.

Hours

Monday to Friday 8am-5pm.

Main Tasks

• Unloading Containers manually and with use of machinery


• Order Picking


• Wrapping Pallets


• Stock Control


• Stacking Pallets safely and securely


• Ensure excellent customer service levels through low error rates


• Happy to take instruction from the Warehouse Managers


• Carry out other reasonable tasks within the warehouse as required


• To proactively assist and support other members of the team


• First aid and Fire Marshall training/duties if required


• To cover for team members whilst on holiday or during sickness and encourage team working
  
  Problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly


• Excellent communication skills at all levels


• Must be able to work well under pressure


• Experience within a warehouse environment is desirable although not essential


• Valid Full UK Driving license is essential


• Experience in driving large vans is preferred
  
  £26,000 - £27,000 a year - Permanent, Full-time
