Welder

I am working with a great company based in Shrewsbury who is looking to fill a permanent Welder vacancy.

Pay is up starting at £12 an hour for a semi-skilled welder, and up to £14.86 for a skilled welder. Hours are 8 am- 4:45 pm Monday-Friday.

Following suitable on-the-job training, the successful candidate will:

• Utilise MIG and TIG welding techniques to weld various materials, such as aluminum and steel.


• Form sections and panels through the use of press brakes.


• Assist in the final assembly of new bodies to vehicle chassis.


• Perform repairs on existing vehicle bodies and structures.


• Assist in the fitting of repaired vehicle components, including tipping gears and hydraulic equipment.


• Ensure that all work is completed in line with Health and Safety legislation.
  
  Previous experience in fabrication, manufacturing, machinery or workshop settings would be advantageous.


• Good dexterity and coordination.


• Ability and willingness to learn processes and techniques in a hands-on environment.


• An interest in commercial bodybuilding, such as tippers and commercial bodies.


• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.


• Excellent health and safety awareness.


• Full driving license.



• Good time management skills., MIG welding: 1 year (preferred)


• Fabrication: 1 year (preferred)


Licence/Certification:
