Full Job Description

The Wiltshire Police Talent Acquisition Team is a growing team and undergoing some exciting changes in order to support the organisation attract and onboard talented individuals into our many career paths.

The position of Recruitment Coordinator will be predominantly dedicated to volume hiring and will be responsible for filling volume
vacancies within set timelines. You will ensure effective and efficient pipeline management, ensuring candidates are moved through the selection process in real time in order to ensure delivery of intakes. Reporting to the Recruitment Lead, the position
holder will have regular liaison with all functional support areas throughout the process to ensure delivery, including L&D, Vetting, OHU, IT and Uniforms.

Your role at Wiltshire Police as a Recruitment Coordinator will include:

  • Building assigned requisitions in the ATS in line with the recruitment plan and Service Level Agreements.

  • Identifying, creating and managing interview slots in the ATS against assigned requisitions in line with the recruitment plan and interviewing manager schedules.
  • Producing reports from the ATS to monitor and analyse interviews booked against target numbers as well as monitor applications.

  • Reviewing talent pools for preregistered candidates and making contact by phone to re-engage, assigning candidates to relevant requisitions and dis-positioning candidates as appropriate.

  • Acting as single point of contact for candidates against assigned requisitions, to include conducting structured telephone interviews, calling candidates to book into selection stages, managing candidate queries by phone and by email, updating on progress, providing assessment and process advice as appropriate.

  • Ensuring all candidate feedback and assessment scores are completed by interviewing managers within the ATS

  • Monitoring candidate conversion rates daily.

  • Advising candidates of outcomes of interviews and advising of next steps where both successful and unsuccessful.

  • Coordinating the process for bio metric and DNA sampling with candidates and external testing providers to ensure testing is completed in line with the recruitment plan.

  • Managing the candidate on-boarding process to include all pre-employment administration/checks, to liaison with other corporate services for on-boarding. This will involve ensuring correct documentation is produced, issued to candidate where

  • appropriate, and filed in accordance with GDPR.,
  • Tattoos - you will also be requested to provide photos and describe of any visible tattoos you have


  • You may require the following documents to complete this application form:

  • A copy of your photo card driving licence

  • A downloaded DVLA summary showing full driving record

  • A copy of your paper driving licence counterpart (Northern Ireland only)

  • A copy of your British Passport or birth certificate (if a candidate does not have a passport, then they may use their birth certificate, but will need to provide a copy of a British passport once they have obtained one.)

  • Copies of your qualifications relating to English and Maths (only). If applying for the Degree Holder Police Constable Apprenticeship, you will need a copy of your Degree Certificate.

  • Clear, colour photos of any non-intimate tattoos

  • Formal translation from a reputable source for any foreign language or symbol tattoos

  • Any paperwork relating to discharged debts, CCJ, bankruptcy etc

  • Deed poll certificate for any name changes

    Demonstrable recruitment coordination or administration experience

  • Experience of working within in a busy customer service focused environment with highly prescriptive / mandatory processes

  • Conducting presentations to large and small audiences

  • Competent in the use of Microsoft 365

  • Ability to prioritise a demanding workload and work to tight competing deadlines

  • High level of interpersonal skills - be able to demonstrate approach-ability, tactfulness and diplomacy

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to

  • construct correspondence
  • Excellent problem solving skills to work on own initiative

  • High degree of attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to work within a team both face to face in Devizes HQ (2-3 days per week) and remotely for remainder of week
