Full Job Description

We are looking for a .NET WPF software engineer with extensive experience in developing and maintaining multi-threaded Windows applications.

The user interfaces will be used in our sensor technology, which currently includes an edge camera AI processing platform, millimetric radar system, plus Lidar and Radar based local positioning sensors.

You will work in a multi-disciplinary team in a supportive environment and will use your experience to guide the development of software applications for the platforms listed above.

We've got well established products performing vital roles on thousands of ships across the world. We are about to embark on an exciting development programme, which will equip intelligent ships of tomorrow with the next generation of Radar and Lidar sensors.

What are your main tasks and responsibilities?

  • Develop and maintain C# multi-threaded .NET WPF based user interfaces for the control of their associated sensors together with presenting the sensors' measurements to the user

  • Be able to mentor and guide other team members on best practices for developing software in .NET C# and WPF

  • Develop new and maintain existing software applications as part of the engineering team

  • Management of S / W development projects as the need / opportunity arises.

  • Establish, maintain, and extend in-depth technical expertise in the latest advances

    Extensive track record in developing C# multi-threaded .NET WPF applications

  • Proficient in all aspects of C# & WPF

  • Excellent understanding of MVVM

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, teamwork, and can-do attitude.

  • Possess a solid understanding of software design patterns, SOLID principles, and a commitment to Clean Coding, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, maintainable and testable code in C#

  • UI design

  • Solid understanding of unit testing frameworks


  • Desirable :
  • Knowledge of C++

  • Knowledge and experience of the latest .NET frameworks

  • Knowledge of Unity Shader Development, OpenCV for Unity

  • Knowledge of Agile development practices, source control and continuous integration considered a strong advantage

  • Experience of working with sensors (radar, vision, lidar etc)

  • Be able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team as well as can also work independently

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in S / W development and product development applying them to drive innovation
